I used to have a 1928 Pontiac Six Landau Sedan. It was a lot of fun to drive and fun to work on. I got it running pretty reliably, then moved from the flatlands to the mountains, and couldn't make it run right since. So I decided to sell it to help fund my other project, a 1979 Corvette L82. This car is even more fun to drive and parts are very easy to come by. I have had a few hang ups with it, and it is now on the back burner while I try to get my Avalanche finished...after all, I've sunk a lot of money into the Avalanche now, and it is time to wrap things up. I was hoping to spend about $15k on the Corvette over the past 6 months, but it all went into the Avalanche. The Corvette isn't losing any value sitting there, so it can wait until I can give it my full attention again.
New carpet. New leather seats, door panels and dash board. New console, guage cluster circuitry, intermittent wiper control and CD player added. New weather strip all around. New headlight vacuum canisters and hoses. New windshield. New seat belts and mechanism. It still needs a lot of work.
I've replaced the antennae with a power antennae. All the Corvette badges are being replaced so everything will look as good as new.
